Valentine’s Day Outfit Inspo

This past year has presented mixed emotions due to heartaches and infatuations but one thing that is guaranteed to uplift your spirit is a holiday. For couples, Valentine’s Day is cherished with the one you adore while celebrating your modern-day love. While others embrace Galentine’s Day with their best friends and their food cravings. But what about the single ladies out there searching for love amid a pandemic and can’t spend it with either?

Whether you’re cuffed or single you must dress for the part. This is the month to truly treat yourself if you made it out alive after sharing a monotonous quarantine with your bae or have avoided the loneliness of swiping right on a dating app. Search for the latest trend of loungewear sets or spend the day of love in a dress that someone would die to wear.

Let’s hear it for the girls

Thanks to Amy Poehler all of your closest gal pals can celebrate female friendship. The invented holiday was first introduced by “Parks & Rec” in 2010. Leslie Knope played by Poehler created Galentine’s Day in tribute to her closest girlfriends. A decade later this made-up holiday is a beloved tradition on February 13th, the day before one of the most dreadful holidays for some. You can now spend it with your best friends who you can always count on when you can’t count on your man.

If quarantine has taught us one thing it’s how to dress fashionably and trendy right from your couch. More than likely you and your lady friends will be indulging in champagne, charcuterie boards, chick flicks and chocolate-covered strawberries.

Complete the night with an outfit worthy of your Insta story. Prance around in heart-shaped matching group pajama sets. Feel comfy yet cute in the hottest trend of loungewear sets by searching for a fuzzy lilac set or a hot pink wide-leg lounge set. Keep in mind this is the day to praise sisterhood and female empowerment. Shift that B.O.B. attitude into your loungewear outfit.

Date for two

That lucky someone you’ll be spending Valentine’s with deserves their jaw to be dropped. Valentine’s Day is the day of romance and the day when two lovers exchange their affection for one another. What better way to show you true love for another one than with your outfit. A dinner date for two is the perfect excuse to dust off your black pumps. Show off your quarantine body in a bold, shimmery cowl neck dress. If you’re looking to be pretty pink a sheer babydoll dress will do justice.

Valentine’s Day is known for red and hearts why not get into the holiday spirit with a bright red midi dress. Strut to dinner with your valentine in an earth tone satin skirt with a pop of red lip. Always accessorize but remember to take one off right before you walk out the door. Whether your date is virtual or where you first met, you will be dressed fit to kill for your valentine.

Seize the singleness

Don’t feel singled out on this gushy, overrated holiday. Just because you are celebrating Valentine’s Day solo doesn’t mean you can’t leave room to dress up for yourself.

Put on your favorite pair of mom jeans to conquer this day. If jeans aren’t your go-to grab a pair of elevated, leather joggers. February is on the chillier side, so pair your mom jeans or your faux-leather joggers with a soft and cozy blush turtleneck.

Let’s be real, Valentine’s Day is to be spent with someone, however, only 52% of Americans celebrate Valentine’s Day. So, face the fact and ride solo by treating yourself to a lingerie set. If you’re searching for something on the feminine side or willing to embrace the baddie energy splurge on an animal print bodysuit or a feminist graphic tee. No matter how lonely you are on Valentine’s Day, seize the singleness, stand in the mirror and remind yourself you are your valentine.
