I may be late to the game, but I’m officially obsessed with podcasts. It feels like I’m always glued to my laptop and adding things to my never-ending to-do list, so a little background noise is essential. For the days when listening to music is too distracting or monotonous, podcasts reign supreme. Now, I love listening to them when I’m working—I oddly feel more inspired, or during my subway commutes.
I’ve asked friends, family and readers (hey, that’s you!) what your favorite podcasts are, and below I have listed out some of my current favorites. All of the podcasts below are available on Apple Podcasts and are completely free! Whether you already listen to podcasts or want to start, here are some of my favorites to help you kick off your way! xo
INDUSTRY/FASHION
Girlboss Radio
Starting with one of my absolute favorites, Sophia Amoruso of Girlboss Radio. Sophia is the founder of NastyGal and recently started Girlboss media. The podcast centers around boundary-pushing woman and the lessons they have learned throughout their life. Expect honest, open conversations that will make you laugh as well as motivate you.
The Influencer Podcast
I’m obsessed with Julie Solomon’s The Influencer Podcast. If you’re a blogger or thinking about starting a blog, I highly suggest you listen. She covers everything from social media, organically growing your business and quality over quantity.
WeHeardWhat?!
Danielle Bernstein of WeWoreWhat is a staple in the fashion influencer community and her new podcast WeHeardWhat?! is following that same path. I love this podcast because she is one of the first fashion blogs I started following. She has covered her career story, dating, and had celebrity hairstylist Jen Atkin as a guest; I can’t wait to see what she does next!
The Goal Digger Podcast
I just started listening to The Goal Digger podcast this weekend through a friend’s recommendation and love it! I have been following Jenna’s Instagram for a couple years now, and the podcast is perfect for creative girl bosses who have a side hustle or starting a entrepreneur endeavor.
Coffee Break with NYWICI
New York Women In Communications (NYWICI) has developed this podcast to be for career-oriented women who work in the communications industry who also love coffee (match made in heaven!). Hosted by Julie Hochheiser, guests such as Arianna Huffington come to have casual conversations about their experiences in the industry and tips they would give to other women.
American Fashion Podcast
If you’re looking for a fashion podcast look no further. The description of this podcast on iTunes is literally “a fashion show for fashion people” and it truly is. They explore all aspects of the industry from the minimalism trend to the future of physical retail. It is a little on the serious side but is very informative about important topics in the industry. They also have the coolest guests including Tim Gunn!

Happier with Gretchen Rubin
This podcast is not fashion-based but is so inspiring and always a positive addition to my day. Gretchen Rubin is an author who turned her book The Happiness Project into a podcast where she explores ways to make everyday a little happier. I think we can all use a little more (or maybe a lot more) happiness in our lives. My recent favorite was her episode titled Hacks to Help Make the Holidays Happier!
Girl With A Podcast
Claudia Oshry of Girl With No Job hosts Girl With A Podcast and it does not disappoint. Oshry is absolutely hilarious. If you’re looking for a funny yet informative and opinionated podcast, then look no further.
My Favorite Murder
Ok, now I love this podcast. My Favorite Murder is a weekly true crime comedy podcast and it’s perfect for a car or subway ride and is a nice break from all the business talk each day.
