5 Podcasts Every College Student Should Listen To

Podcasts are a fun way to learn about topics that you’ve been wanting to explore. There are thousands of podcasts out there, one for any genre that you may be interested in. World News, Fashion, True Crime, and Educational are a few to name. Podcasts are a great way to shake up your usual playlist, and explore the world around you. 

Here is a list of five podcasts that every college student should listen to!

Gals On The Go with Danielle Carolan and Brooke Miccio

Danielle and Brooke met through YouTube and ended up starting a podcast where they talk about all things college, beauty, and more. Recently they extended their Wednesday episodes by adding a Monday recap called “The Happening” where they discuss pop culture and current events. This is a great podcast to listen to while driving or walking around campus!

Crime Junkie

Crime Junkie is a weekly true-crime podcast that is highly rated among several bloggers. Crime Junkie is produced by Audiochuck and hosted by Ashley Flowers with her co-host Brit Prawat. These women tell stories about crimes in such an intriguing and suspenseful way. After one listen to their podcast, you will be hooked.

Millennial Podcast

Millennial podcast is a start-up project of recent college graduate Megan Tan, which quickly blew up and skyrocketed into podcast fame. This podcast focuses on the transition between university and work, “how to maneuver your twenties”. It explores the subject of finding meaningful and fulfilling work with the pressures of money, status, and self-worth.

Stuff Mom Never Told You

This podcast is hosted by Emille Aries whose career advice has landed her in Forbes articles and TED talks. The other host is Bridget Todd, who is a writer and political activist. Topics covered include feminism, PDA, welfare and the cultural appropriation of being “exotic.” This podcast is great for women who are fired up about equality and feminism!

Serial

Serial is a murder mystery that’s based on a true story and it’s one of the most popular podcasts in the world. Sarah Koenig investigates and interviews everyone involved; she’s basically a female Sherlock Holmes. This is a great podcast for watchers of Criminal Minds and/or lovers of murder mysteries.
